Chris McIntosh

Chris started in the fire industry in 2006, after completing the apprenticeship in Fire Sprinkler Fitting based on service and minor works/construction. Mainly based in Sydney and greater metropolitan areas, then relocated out to western NSW region with one of the leading fire companies in Australia. This furthered his knowledge from high rise and industrial into mining, rural requirements and challenges.

After a few years, Chris relocated back to the Newcastle area but still maintained travel to western, regional and rural areas to help clients that didn’t have access to the industry experience and qualifications of the providers in their area.

Along this journey, Chris completed additional qualifications including vehicle fire suppression training, high risk EWP above 11m, EAHL licence, back flow prevention, electrical test and tag and restricted electrical licence.

Personal Attributes

Imperative personal attributes include maintaining personal and vehicle appearance, adapting to electronic record keeping systems, keeping paperwork legible and correctly filled out whilst representing the company and keeping customer interactions professional and informative.

Chris is capable of maintaining vigilance on non-conforming equipment, not always relevant to the task assigned, to ensure client compliance and the company revenue is met.

  • Chemical Manufacturing

  • Abattoirs

  • Product Manufacturing

  • Warehouse Storage/Distribution

Getting access to some of these sites require federal police criminal history checks and frequent drug/alcohol checks.
